Preliminary Task Evaluation

Hi All

For your evaluation, you may find the following questions useful to focus on being reflective and critical

The video production -
What did you do, does it work, do the edits (match on action) work well?
Have you stuck to the 180 deg rule?
Are the shots & angles well framed (rule of 3rds)?
Does it look convincing as a conversation?
What would you change to improve it?

Overall -  how well have you completed the preliminary task?

Ensure this is uploaded to your blog by 4pm tonight with your video and all your planning

Many thanks
Mr.B

preliminary task - storyboard/script/shot list

Hi All

The prliminary task is as described by the exam board

6 ways to kill your husband (or wife) - Interrogation scene

We are looking for between 30secs - 1min. It ought to demonstrate what you have learned about

  • Framing (correctly using shot types)
  • Angles (weak/powerful)
  • Composition (we'll do that next week!)
  • Continuity (match on action, shot rev shot, 180 deg rule)
  • and using all this to create MYSTERY & SUSPENSE

Here are some suggestions and links to previous students preliminary tasks
