Hi All
Sorry but i won't be in today. Thank you for putting yourselves out to meet Kwame yesterday, i hope you found it useful and inspiring. He should be back to run a Music Video workshop in July.
Please continue with your editing today, the Lacie is in the top drawer where i usually sit, help yourself just put it back after - Georgina could you take responsibility for this please? Can you also post a reply to this so i have a register list to mark you in. Cheers
Adam, Kieran, Magg - was thinking about your film last night - having a montage of case files, news clippings of him putting someone away, a desk with his ID, a filing cabinet, (like the Se7en title edit i gave you as a task early on) with a shot of your character in an office might be enough to establish he is a detective (the most important character) - the death would make sense then - he has killed them for revenge rather than just a random attack. Also what might be better is if rather than having Kieran and the mother dead on the floor is if you just have a reaction shot of him entering the room and cut away to black then get some extreme close ups of police cars/ambulance with sirens flashing up on screen. There needs to be some vital props - a clue - that hints to how the protagoinst is going to track down the threat, like a text message with a photo of his dead wife etc... so you know that they have a prior relationship.
Any problems with th software Brandon may be able to help.
Thanks
Mr.B

Hope your film shoots went well - if you have followed procedure you ought to have some amazing footage to look through, I am keen to see the rushes.
As such we will have a screening of your rushes (as per the clip) when you return to work - or school - to discuss shot selection & how the sequence will hang together
This will be recorded/photographed & commented on on your individual blogs which will record your groups monitoring of decisions.
In addition to this each of you will record a weekly weblog video which you will post to your Youtube Channel and maintain throughout the construction stage over the next 6 weeks. Any photos or footage of the making will also be included. I will be cutting into the last 20 mins of the 2nd production lesson to give you time for this.
Reminder of deadlines -
end of 3rd wk - Individual Working Cut
end of Mod 3 - Rough Cut with Sound & Effects
end of 2nd wk Mod 4 - Final Submission of Film
Looking forward to working with you to make your movies.
All the best
