I have spoken to Kieran, Adam & Maggs about the work for today so they may be able to help clarify the instructions on this post
3 Tasks to be completed by the end of the session by the 3 of you as a group (An hour and a half)
1 - Production company logo
(see recent posts on the blog for help with this, there are link to previous student examples, real institutional examples, etc)
- Your task is brainstorm images, fonts, names & style for your production company that will be developed into a logo (an image with text)
Post this to your Blog
You have 20 mins to complete this task as a group
2 - Research: Intended Audience (your Thriller film ideas)
Decide on who your Target Audience will be.
- A collage of images with props, visual symbols and images of the target audience for YOUR thriller opening, what would appeal to them. There must be a definitive age & gender along with images of what content you will have in your film
- Look through the previous post of how you could make this 'Creativity in Foundation Production' (as a poster? a mood board? A short video? A commentary over images?)
- Write a commentary (brief) of who they are.
3 - Audience Research Statistics
Identify a range of thriller films from www.imdb.com
- Click on the 'user rating' section & print screen the graphs.
- Summarise the results - who is the biggest audience (age & gender) for these thriller films state WHY?
- Add video clips from imdb & film posters to demonstrate how the content (violence, male or female protagonist, age of the characters & their occupations, subject matter etc) appeals to who you said the audience is (age & gender).
This should take you 20 mins with 3 students working on it - split the work up.
Upload this to your blog
Label all your work as 'research & planning', remembering to label the name of who worked on it
